TUESDAY, APRIL 27, 2010 through SUNDAY, MAY 2, 2010 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Greetings, Cirque Passionates! Last time we mentioned that in our next update we'd have information for you regarding our headquarters hotels in both New York City and Montréal - and so we do! Both hotels are now ready to take your reservation, so please see the HOTELS section in our update below for further information. We have two wonderful Headquarters Hotels near our primary event locations this year. For New York City, we're going to be staying at "On the Ave", a boutique hotel across from Central Park in Upper West Side (just two blocks from the Beacon Theater). In Montréal, we're proud to once again stay at the Marriott Spring Hill Suites Vieux Port, which served us so well for CirqueCon 2005: Montréal. Please RSVP with us at these hotels! Also, please don't forget about an exciting option presented to us by one of our members, Rich Alford - the Magic Bus to Ovo! He's looking at organizing special transportation to take us from Manhattan to Randall's Island for OVO and back again - see the MAGIC BUS section below for information on the BUS option and perhaps even dinner before hand. Please RSVP soon - the deadline is Thursday, January 21st! There's still plenty of time to get your seats to OVO in New York City and TOUR 2010 in Montréal - bother under the Grand Chapiteau - but time is of the essence. The extended deadline comes due on 11:59pm EST January 31st! See the TICKETS section on our website for further details: < http://www.cirquecon.com/2010/tickets.htm >. And, don't forget about the Restaurant du Vieux Port - our Group Meal in Montréal! If you intend to join us and haven't yet let us know, please RSVP with us as soon as you can so we know how many plates need to be made! See the GROUP MEAL, MONTREAL section on our website, for the menu and costs involved: < http://www.cirquecon.com/2010/social.htm#meal > Next up we'll be working on Broadway night, tickets to Banana Shpeel and our group meal options in New York City - stay tuned. Okay, let's get to it! In This Update... ------------------------------------- o) Dinner Before Ovo / Magic Bus to Randall's Island? o) Hotel in NYC - Reserve Now! o) Hotel in Montréal - Reserve Now! Some Deadlines to Remember... ------------------------------------- o) January 21 (Thr) = Magic Bus RSVP o) January 31 (Sun) = Tickets to OVO o) January 31 (Sun) = Tickets to Tour 2010 o) March 02 (Fri) = Group Meal, Montréal o) March 08 (Mon) = Hotel in Montréal o) March 10 (Wed) = Hotel in NYC ====================================================================== o) DINNER BEFORE OVO / MAGIC BUS TO RANDALL'S ISLAND? While our official CirqueCon Group Meal in New York City will be held on Thursday, April 29th (we're working on the time and place), just before we convene for Banana Shpeel at the Beacon Theater, we have a couple of exciting member-supported propositions for you: 1) would you like to meet up for dinner on Wednesday, April 28th, and then 2) ride a “Magic Bus” to Randall’s Island and back for OVO? If either of these interest you (or both!), please RSVP with member Rich Alford – richdvd@hotmail.com – today! He has not yet selected a restaurant we could all meet at for dinner, but the “Magic Bus” to OVO ($20 by check / $21 by Paypal per person) will pick up bus pass holders at the intended Restaurant and will drop us off at OVO, then return us to Manhattan after the show! We’re offering this special OVO evening to CirqueCon members a-la-carte – join us for the meal before, just the bus ride to the show, or both! Each item is separately ticketed; you pick and choose the options in which you’d like to participate! Please RSVP with Rich today (richdvd@hotmail.com) as the bus is contingent upon a minimum number of seats sold! And as soon as he knows how many might be interested in dining before OVO, he'll have more regarding the potential restaurant, it's costs and how getting together there will be facilitated. Until then, please let him know if you're interested in the bus ride! He needs to know by no later than Thursday, January 21st! o) HOTEL IN NEW YORK CITY - RESERVE NOW!
