As of 05/10/08 -- Thanks to Cirque du Soleil we are now able to extend the deadline for reserving tickets until midnight Eastern Time, Sunday, June 1, 2008! Cirque du Soleil has graciously offered an exclusive block of tickets for our “official” show! The show is the Cirque du Soleil Tokyo-2008 resident show at Tokyo Disney Resort, Tokyo, Japan. Tickets are for the 7:30pm (1930 hrs) show on Friday, November 7, 2008 ONLY - those wanting tickets for other shows will need to obtain them separately. HOW?
NOTE: You must be a member of CirqueCon 2008: Tokyo! to obtain tickets through this offer.
Seating - Where are We?
Our seats are in two sections:
[Click Here for an Expanded Seating Chart (.PDF)] Why two? We got a very positive response from our members when we offered a choice of seating for our Orlando 2007 Event. In fact, attendance was equally split between both sections! We know some of you like to sit further back to see all of the show visuals, but we also recognize there are some who like the intensity of that front and center experience. So we've again reserved seats in both areas to accommodate everyone's taste. A win-win situation! After those tickets have been sold, no others will be available. Tickets will be assigned based upon the time stamp of your payment and any known seating preferences. Pricing - Okay, How Much?
Because the seating is spread across two different pricing categories so is the cost. The prices below reflect the cost of adults & children ages 3 and up (there is no price distinction between the two, sorry). Note that children under three years of age do not need a ticket, but must sit in their parents lap. Since we are dealing with a fluctuating currency exchange rate, the rate we quote below won’t be the price you pay, though it will be somewhere close. We have no way of knowing what will happen to the Dollar-Yen exchange rate between now and May, 2008 (when we will need ticket payment). Below are tickets prices in yen, with a rounded-up USD figure based on an exchange rate of ¥104.8 to $1, posted (at www.xe.com) on 5/13/08: NOTE: There are no children/youth/student/senior tickets or discounts. Tax and service charges are included in the price. The First Step - Reserving Your Tickets Send an email to tokyo@cirquecon.com with the following information:
Your Email Address How many/what kind of tickets (Category 1 or 3) you want. (Note: We will assume all tickets requested are Category 1 unless you say otherwise.) Tickets will be assigned based upon the time stamp of your payment and any known seating preferences. Because CirqueCon is facilitating the ticket distribution this year, we have a little say over what seats you get. We will make every attempt to accommodate your seating preferences, but we cannot guarantee certain or any arrangements. Email reservations must be received by: After that you can purchase tickets to our “official” show, as well as other Tokyo-2008 performances, through regular channels. HOW? The Second Step - Paying For Your Tickets In early June we will calculate the cost of tickets in US dollars based on the exchange rate in effect at the time. We will then update our members and the website with ticket cost and payment information, with a two-week window for payment. Payment must be received by the deadline. We accept Check, Money Order, International Postal Money Order (in USD), and PayPal. Note that due to PayPal’s fee structure the ticket cost will be higher through PayPal than by other means. WHY? Tickets will be assigned based upon the time stamp of your payment and any known seating preferences. If your preferred seats or category are sold out we will make every attempt to contact you straight away. If we are unable to make contact we will place you in the next seating category and refund the ticket difference (based on the form of payment). Of course, once tickets are sold to you there are no refunds, returns, or substitutions. Picking Up Your Tickets Your tickets will be available in Tokyo during our scheduled open registration times. We will also be outside the Cirque theater between 6:45pm and 7:10pm Friday evening before the show. It is imperative that once you receive your tickets you keep them safe as we cannot provide replacements. |
